Trunk or Treat

Halloween Tricks and Birthday Treats!

To celebrate my mom's birthday and my favorite holiday we had a little Halloween party with my family on the 29th. It was very fun. We made and decorated individual ghost cakes and ate pizza. Kira and mom helped Kim get ready to go to some parties as a vampire. She looked awesome! Cole, Luke, and I played the eat the donut off the string game which is actually kind of difficult to do. We carved pumpkins and played spooky hide-n-seek in the dark with a flashlight. The kiddos loved that and everyone had a great time! Mom, thanks for having a birthday so close to Halloween, it's always a perfect reason to have a very fun party :)

Phillips Halloween Party

For Halloween we went out to Kim and Jerrod's for the 2nd Annual Phillips Halloween Party. Lot's of fun and treats and great costumes!80's chick, Harley Babe, Fear the Beard
We surprised everyone with Allison's costume! We told them she was going to be Dumbo. She did wear Dumbo to the trunk or treat (another post to come) but come on in this family we knew this costume would be a hit!!! It was sooooo cute. As Grandpa Phillips would say,
"she's the cutest scooter trash I've ever seen".

Everyone had great costumes! The whole night was very, very fun!

Halloween Party!

Our friends Colby and Becki had a Halloween Party last weekend. They recently moved to a new house, so it was fun to see them and their new home. We all chatted, ate a great dinner, and they played some games. Dave and I ate Elk for the first time! Thanks for a fun night!

Hogle Zoo

We have been spending a lot of time at the zoo lately now that the weather has cooled off. Dave gave me a membership for Mother's Day and we find ourselves popping in for an hour or two fairly often. This day my mom aka Grandma aka Labu came with us. We went later in the afternoon and discovered this was a great time of day to go. The crowds had gone home and the animals were very active. We loved watching the baby elephant Zuri and her mama. The tiger was very cool to see. Allison loved the giraffes. But our favorite was this macaw. There was no one else around us and we stayed and talked with him for a long time! We were just walking by and he said "Hello". So we walked over and he said "hello pretty girl, what's your name?" Mom answered "Robyn, what's your name?" and he said "Macaw"! His sign said his real name was Buddy but he was a Macaw bird. After we had talked to each other for a while my mom turned to me and just in a regular tone and not even talking to the bird said "well, should we go?" and the bird right on cue said "goodbye"! We were laughing so much and were totally surprised that he new to say that. So smart. That was fun.

We rode the carousel and Allison chose the tiger to ride on. She loved it! I say this all the time but I am so enjoying this age. Everything is so much fun with her and she is such a good girl!

On the way out we stopped to look in the gift shop. Allison went over and climbed on this stuffed white tiger.

How cute is that?! I was tempted to buy it.

Go, Fight, Win!

My cousin Camille is a cheerleader at Riverton High School. Last night they had a football game against Bingham. Alli and I bundled up and went to watch the game and see Camille cheer. My parents came and we sat with Todd, Susan, Katie, and Cory. We saw Dave and Scotty because this game was the KJZZ prep game of the week and so they were there working to put it on tv. Both teams came in to this game undefeated. Unfortunately Riverton lost bad to the nationally ranked Miners.

(53-13)! Oh well, Camille did a great job! She is a flyer and cute as a button. We had fun watching her.

First Hair Cut

We had been putting this off for a long time. We just weren't ready to cut off her beautiful baby locks. They had a darling curl to them and we loved her hair even if it was growing in unevenly. But the day finally came when we were ready.

So off to the "salon" we went and chop, chop!
