Jazz Game

Saturday night we went to the Jazz game! We had so much fun...all of us did and there was a lot of us! A super great guy in my parents ward gave them the tickets, so they invited us and Grandpa and Kim, Scott, and Josh came and brought some friends too. Dave was at the game but he was working hard putting the game on t.v. for the Hornets.
This was Alli's first Jazz game and she LOVED it! She was watching, dancing, pointing out the ball, and chowing down on popcorn! We got a kick out of watching her.
The game was great, we had a blast and the Jazz won!

Rock-a-bye Baby

My sweet, sweet sugar Allison,
Today as I was rocking you before your nap I cried. I cried as I held you because I wanted to remember this moment and this time in my life forever. I love you so much and your daddy loves you just the same. I want to remember every detail about you. I always want to remember the softness of your rosy cheeks, the sweet touch of your generous kisses, the size of your little hands and the lone freckle you have on your index finger. I love your cute feet and precious tiny toes. Your dad and I both blow raspberries on the soles of your feet and on your little baby tummy. I want you to know that the cuddle time we share when I put you down for your nap and bedtime is my favorite time of day. I love that I get to hold you and rock and that you like to play little games with me. That you pause from drinking to say mama or dada. When I say daddy is going to go nigh night, you bring your finger up to your lips and say shhhh, and I say yeah daddy is sleeping, and then you say nigh night dada. I want to remember how perfectly your head fits under my chin and on my shoulders as you rest against me. I want you to know that your head will always fit perfectly on my shoulders for the rest of your life no matter how old or big you are. I love how you play with my hair as I hold you. And how you get so excited and hold both my cheeks and then snuggle up to me. One of my very favorite things is when I say, can I smell you? and we put our foreheads together and smell. Oh how sweet you smell! You smell like my baby who is still so fresh and new, I hope that is something I remember forever. I know these are things you will probably never remember but I will. I love you so much! We both treasure this time with you. You, our sweetheart Allison, bring incredible joy to us. We are so blessed to have you. There are so many adorable things you do and I just wanted to record some of them today. Thanks for the cuddles.
Love, your Mama

Haiti Benefit Concerts

A few weeks ago Allison and I went to a concert. My cute cousin Julia Sanders put together and performed at a benefit concert to help raise money for LDS Philanthropies. Her desire to help was brought about because of the earthquake in Haiti. She did a great job!
Allison got all ready for the concert and even kept this little bobby pin in her hair!!! (It stayed in for about half the night, that is huge!)Let's go, mom...
Earlier that day my awesome Aunt Connie and some of her girls and Aunt Karen and Shea treated my sister Kim to a girls day. Kim got this cute outfit and Shea cut her hair. She looked fabulous!
Auntie Kim and Alli are best buddies!!!
I am so blessed to have so many amazing, cute, funny, sweet, generous, fantastic, fun ladies around in my life but two of my very favorites are my mom and sister.
I love them so much!
Great-grandpa, Allison, Kim
Alli had a lot of fun running around and playing with her "cousins" Jace and Nixon. They are my cousin Jennie's boys and since Alli doesn't have any actual cousins we have to borrow from my extended family. Thanks for sharing Jennie and Annie, too.
The kids would go back and forth through this curtain.
Here is Alli bursting through like ta-da here I am, time to party!
I also need to add that the following week my brother-in-law Steven also put together a benefit concert for Haiti and he too did a fantastic job! The bands he got were way good and the set up was sweet! Alli and I went to that concert too but I didn't take any pictures at that one. I wish I had! The thing that made his concert extra cool, at least in my opinion, is that it was held at the Masonic Temple that is downtown. I had always wanted to go in there and look around and now I have.
Very cool, Steven!

Good job both of you and thanks for a couple of fun nights!
